General Information

POWERMASTER has for many years been the choice fuel for competition model engine sports. From pylon racing to FAI Pattern, our fuels dominate every event. Its no wonder that we are the chosen manufacturer for many fuel brands,  TRAXXAS Top Fuel, The George M. Aldrich (GMA) Signature Blend, and many others.

POWERMASTER moved from California to Elgin, Texas (near Austin, the state capitol) in 1994. This central location offered many opportunities for faster distribution and better service to our customers.

Shortly after POWERMASTER’S arrival in Texas, Shirley Hammond, a local resident joined the team. Being the wife of a very long time modeler, Shirley quickly became recognized at the new Elgin Plant. In 1997, Shirley became the General Manager of POWERMASTER.

In 1998 the manufacturing rights to the POWERMASTER® line of model products were sold to Shirley and Wendell Hammond. Wendell has over thirty years experience in the chemical business working with Union Carbide.

POWERMASTER FUELS have been the winner’s choice in the hobby industry for many years. Now under new ownership, we strive to continue this tradition. Our honesty, and hard work are traits that modelers have come to expect and rely on.
