The 2012 VP/PowerMaster Challenge @ WolfPack RC Raceway WolfPack RC hosted the 2012 VP/PowerMaster Challenge in Pearcy, AR. VP/PowerMaster factory team driver, Mike Battaile, was there to support the event by handing out fuel and many giveaway prizes to the winners. VP PowerMaster took top honors in three classes at this year’s Nitro challenge. The Nitro Challenge is one of the most popular races of the year and kicks off every season with a bang. With over 600 entries, the Nitro Challenge is also one of the largest attended races in the world. VP PowerMaster factory team driver and former World Champion Mark Pavidas and R/C Pro National Champ Mike Battaile spent their weekend at the front of the pack in the Nitro 1/8 Buggy Masters class. Mark took the overall TQ, but Mike was right there battling with him for the half of the main. Mark managed to stretch a little bit of a gap and went on to capture the win with Mike not far behind taking second place. Mike dominated the 1/8 Truck Masters class earning TQ and the win. Mark and Mike were both using VP PowerMaster Nitro Race 30% fuel for their wins.
VP PowerMaster drivers, Jason Branham and David Joor, turned up the heat at the 2013 Indy RC Ice Breaker race. The Ice Breaker has been a long standing annual event hosted by Indy RC Raceway in Garland, TX and pulls lots of talent from the region. The indoor track is extremely hard-packed and very fast making for intense racing under grueling conditions. Racers need their equipment to be on its best game to finish on the podium. Jason and David relied on VP PowerMaster Nitro Race 30% to fuel their Pro Buggy rides straight to the podium. VP PowerMaster drivers took control of the first round of the R/C Pro Texas state series race held in Houston, TX dominating the field and filling most all of the podium spots. Factory Team VP PowerMaster driver, Jason Branham, doubled up winning both of the Open classes and scoring Top Qualifier in Open Buggy. Jason used VP PowerMaster Nitro Race 30% in his vehicles to give him the power and reliability he needed to find the top of the podium – twice. All of the top five finishers in Open Buggy and the top four in Open Truck also used VP PowerMaster to get on the podium. VP PowerMaster was found all through the pits as the majority of the Intermediate racers were also running VP. It’s shaping up to be a great season for VP PowerMaster and the R/C Pro Series. Jason Branham was on fire at this year’s J-Concepts Southern Nationals in West Monroe, LA. Jason used VP/Power Master Nitro Race Car 30% fuel to not only take the win in Pro Buggy, but he also battled for the win in Pro Truggy. The Truggy main was intense. After a brutally long battle with Josh Wheeler, Jason had the lead going into the last lap, but just the slightest mistake by Jason in the crossover allowed Josh to get by, but Jason finished just two seconds behind in Second place.
VP/PowerMaster’s Ralph Burch laid it down and took home the gold at one of this year’s biggest races, The 2012 Great Lakes Challenge. The 14th annual Great Lakes Challenge was held at the freshly paved Woodville Mall track in Toledo, Ohio. Two rounds of qualifying were run on Friday and three more rounds on Saturday. The single best round (Rocket Round) from each driver would seed the mains.
You’ve heard of the “Nationals”… Chances are, you’ve even heard of the “Internationals”… And surely you know about the ever-prestigious “Worlds”… Well, Radio Control Headquarters of San Antonio, TX was much bigger – Welcome to the “Intergalactic Buggy Challenge”.
VP/PowerMaster drivers scored big at this year’s Silver State Nitro Challenge race in Boulder City, NV. The high altitude combined with hot temps and dry climate made for finicky needle adjustments for many drivers. VP/PowerMaster shined through virtually eliminating flameout issues due to fuel related problems providing PowerMaster users all the power and reliability they needed to compete and succeed under the blistering Nevada sun. In the 40+ Open Truck class, VP/PowerMaster team driver, Mike Battaile, not only took TQ honors for a pole position start, but went on to ultimately dominate the A-Main by lapping the entire field not once, but twice. Mike would then turn around in the 40+ Open Buggy class and charge for another podium spot landing a second place finish after the 30-minute race.
Our VP/PowerMaster distributor in Indonesia, Faisal Ali Racing, just sent us the second round results of the Jakarta Regional Championships.
VP/PowerMaster owned both Open classes at round two of the R/C Pro Texas State Series in Corpus Christi, TX. All five drivers on top of the Open Buggy podium fueled their machines with VP/PowerMaster Nitro Race 30% car fuel. VP/PowerMaster team driver, Mike Battaile, took TQ honors after three rounds of qualifying, but found a little trouble at the start of the 30-minute main having to come back from dead last to salvage a 3rd place finish. Jake Dillenger drove a solid and consistent race to find the front of the leader board and never looked back.
Trends and Trains hobby shop and raceway in Shreveport, LA was the scene for the first annual Dialed Inc. Off-road Championships. In spite of the crazy storms that passed through the area dumping huge amounts of water on the track during the week prior to the event, the race charged on. With over 280 entries ready to do battle, Joey Christensen (The Dirt) did the impossible.
The WolfPack R/C club in Piercy, AR hosted round #1 of the R/C Pro South series. It was a beautiful day for racing with a high in the 70’s and sun all day long while VP/PowerMaster driver, Mike Battaile, proceeded to claim victory in both the Pro Nitro buggy and Pro Nitro Truggy classes.
VP/PowerMaster found its way to the top of the podium in both classes at this year's Florida on-road Winternats. The Florida Winternats kicks off every nitro on-road season as THE race to be at. World-class drivers from all over the world travel to FT Myers, FL to do battle on what may very well be the fastest track in the word. The FT Myers track is pure adrenaline with its insanely high-speed chicanes and blistering back straightaway. Power is what it's all about.
VP/PowerMaster kicked off the 2012 R/C Pro Texas State series with a bang taking four out of the top five spots in Open Buggy and all five of the top five spots in Open Truggy. VP/PowerMaster driver, Jason Branham, cranked it up in Open buggy taking TQ and fighting off VP/PowerMaster teammate, Jake Dellinger, for most of the race in the 45-min A-main. Jason would prevail taking the victory with Jake finishing a close second. Mike Battaile also made his presence in the final poking his nose into the mix from time to time and finishing out with the fourth spot.
VP/PowerMaster factory team driver, Ralph Burch, was just unstoppable at the 2011 X-Ray Challenge in Porter, TX. Ralph scored the TQ and win in the 200mm touring car class leading the field by over two laps.
Gears RC Club, Harlingen, Texas - VP/PowerMaster driver, Jason Branham, cleaned house at Rd 16 of the RC Pro Series in Harlingen, TX taking TQ honours and the win in both classes.
Champion VP/PowerMaster pilot, Jason Danhakl, was THE force to be reckoned with at this year’s prestigious XFC Air Race World-level event. Fueled with VP/SEF 50:1 premix race gas, Jason’s machines performed flawlessly giving him the power, performance and edge he needed to win the 50cc class.
St. Louis Dirt Burners – St. Louis, MO – The heat was intense and the competition was fierce at this year’s Futaba Off-Road nitro Challenge. The Futaba Challenge is known as one of the season’s most prestigious events pulling some of the country’s best talent.
Air Age hosts the RCX Expo show in Pomona, CA every year, which draws tons of manufacturers and tens of thousands of hobbyists, racers and RC enthusiasts from all disciplines. The Greater LA R/C Racing Club hosted the 4th annual RCX Challenge nitro on-road race right outside in the parking lot of the convention center.
2011 R/C Pro Texas State Series RD #2
Kurt Kellum has been on fire lately. Kurt put his XRay 808 2011-spec buggy 4th on the grid for the start of the A-Main after some troubles in qualifying. However, the A-Main would be a different story. Kurt made his way to the front of the field at about
PowerMaster fuel was in full effect at this year’s Psycho Nitro Blast. With nearly 500 total entries, the PNB produces one of the biggest sportsman fields of the year. For non-sponsored racers that pay for their equipment, it’s important to spend that money wisely. Stuart Shaw and Michael Martin chose PowerMaster 30% car blend and it paid off. Stuart took command of the Sportsman truck A-Main and locked in the win with Michael sealing up the second spot.
PowerMaster driver, David Green, did the unthinkable at this year’s Nitro Challenge. After several troubled rounds of qualifying, David found himself in the Expert 1/8 Buggy E-Main with his work cutout for him. With solid focus and unrivaled determination, David worked his way through the lower mains all the way up the A-Main final! So many things can go wrong during any race, not to mention “FIVE” of them – especially starting from the back of each one. David showed he wasn’t to be denied with his PowerMaster-fueled 1/8 Truck. David charged hard all the way to the front of the A-Main field taking the win. David used PowerMaster 30% Car blend throughout the event proving that PowerMaster shines through when the odds are stacked against you.
VP Racing Fuels/PowerMaster places three in the A-Main at what was the biggest Motorama to date. Nearly 500 nitro entries gathered at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA to do battle in the arena. In a field of over 100 Pro 1/8 Buggy entries and just under 100 Pro Truck entries, PowerMaster Factory Team driver, Mike Battaile, and PowerMaster driver, Tim Smith, broke into the Pro 1/8 Truck A-Main in the stacked field of the fastest drivers in the country.
VP Racing Fuels/ PowerMaster dominate 1/10 Sedan and fueled over half of the entire A-Main field, including the 1/8 Open class. PowerMaster swept all podium positions in Touring Car by taking the top four positions. PowerMaster Factory Team drivers, Ralph Burch and Paul Lemieux, shot off to an early lead swapping position with Ralph taking the win at the end of the 45-minute final. PowerMaster driver, Scotty Gray, nailed down the final podium position locking in the third spot. PowerMaster powered six out of the top ten positions using our 16% Touring Car blend.
PowerMaster finds the podium twice at Round 1 of the Georgia State Series held at “The Wasteland” track, just outside of Atlanta, GA. Factory Team PowerMaster driver, Mike Battaile, wheeled his Mugen 1/8-scale buggy and truggy to two strong podium finishes respectively at the first GA state race of the year.
Team PowerMaster driver, Mike Battaile, wheeled his Mugen MBX-6T truggy w/ AKA tires to victory after the 1-hour long grueling main at the 2010 R/C Pro National Finals in Alvarado, TX. This win put Mike on top in points taking home the overall R/C Pro National Pro Truggy title.
