You’ve heard of the “Nationals”… Chances are, you’ve even heard of the “Internationals”… And surely you know about the ever-prestigious “Worlds”… Well, Radio Control Headquarters of San Antonio, TX was much bigger – Welcome to the “Intergalactic Buggy Challenge”.
The folks at RCHQ are all about FUN. Their local race program is one of best I’ve been involved with and the events that they host are laid back and relaxing. That doesn’t mean the racing isn’t intense. There’s a super-fast group of locals and the Intergalactic Buggy Championship also pulls a number of other fast drivers from around the state to compete for that crazy 5ft tall Intergalactic Buggy Championship trophy. That’s right. RCHQ pulls out all the stops by going back to the days of cool gigantor trophies. You just don’t see ‘em like that anymore.
There’s a huge VP/PowerMaster crowd at RCHQ and the shop has grown to be one of our better stores. Next time you’re in the San Antonio area and wanna burn some nitro, look ‘em up. It’s a great place to stop in, visit and make some laps around their outdoor off-road track as well. Check out the results below an mark your calendar for next year’s IBC. It’s sure to get even better.
