2013 The Dirt Nitro Challenge, Phoenix, AZ - Feb 20-24
VP PowerMaster took top honors in three classes at this year’s Nitro challenge. The Nitro Challenge is one of the most popular races of the year and kicks off every season with a bang. With over 600 entries, the Nitro Challenge is also one of the largest attended races in the world. VP PowerMaster factory team driver and former World Champion Mark Pavidas and R/C Pro National Champ Mike Battaile spent their weekend at the front of the pack in the Nitro 1/8 Buggy Masters class. Mark took the overall TQ, but Mike was right there battling with him for the half of the main. Mark managed to stretch a little bit of a gap and went on to capture the win with Mike not far behind taking second place. Mike dominated the 1/8 Truck Masters class earning TQ and the win. Mark and Mike were both using VP PowerMaster Nitro Race 30% fuel for their wins.

The Nitro Challenge also offered a separate track for the 1/5-scale gasoline-powered off-road racers. VP PowerMaster driver John Schultz added another championship to his resume by dominating the 1/5 4wd Open class with TQ and the win. John uses VP PowerMaster PowerMix 40:1 premixed fuel in his 1/5-scale Losi 5T truck for quicker throttle response and better overall power gains vs. pump gas. PowerMix also eliminates the worry of fouled fuel systems and corrosion that pump gas creates. VP PowerMaster PowerMix is the perfect fuel for large-scale R/C and comes premixed with high-performance 100% synthetic oil, so there is no measuring or mixing.
